THE PRODUCT

Copia Interactive is an edu-centric platform service which handles content aggregation, distribution, and consumption through a multi device app and portal offering.

THE PROCESS

As the Creative Director and sole designer, I was charged with updating not only the branding but the entire visual identity from desktop portal to e-reader. Working with the PM, I quickly assessed user pain points as they related to the interface and the overall user experience. Using the knowledge gained along with interviews user personas were created, which were used to help start the visual deliverables. Working in Photoshop, I delivered over 150 full fledged mock ups for hallway testing and business approval.

Before

The branding, messaging, and interface were all in need of an overhaul. Consistency and clarity where lacking across all touchpoints, including the desktop and app experience.

Branding

The decision was made to keep the current logo, but choosing to work with a limited color pallet, which focused on high contrast helped to highlight the brand and bring everything into perspective.

User Dashboard

Using the new color pallet I redesign the user dashboard, concentrating on ease of use and messaging.

eReader

A key differentiator of the Copia app was the ability to comment highlight and read socially. Sharing your thoughts across your groups or social networks.

Home Page

The homepage was designed around the marketing messaging in order to ensure users understood what the Copia platform was. Included, was an e-commerce section, highlighting the community which could be found inside each ebook.
